Earthworm Arena is a free browser arcade game: steer a glowing worm through a dark hex arena and eat colored pellets to raise your score, grow longer and level up. Glowing lightning and crystal orbs also appear among the pellets.

Steer with the arrow keys, WASD or the mouse, and hold Space to Rush at extra speed. On a phone, use the on-screen joystick and Boost button. Rival worms roam the arena, and running your head into one's body ends the run. A Game Over panel then shows your final score, best score and rank, with a Restart button.

The screen tracks score, best score, level and link count. It also has a minimap, a sound toggle and a leaderboard of named rival worms.

Enter a nickname and play right away with no sign-up. It suits quick, repeatable sessions on desktop or mobile.
